Heating a house

A modern day house must be able to be heated. Most homes have a central heating system. Some older homes are heated by gas heaters. Electric heating sometimes used as additional heating, but from a cost perspective it’s not recommended. Also see: Energy saving.

Regarding all forms of heating applies that the effectiveness for large part is dependent on the ventilation inside the building. It is also import how the temperature is controlled. That can be done by room thermostat, weather-dependent regulation (in combination with thermostatic radiator valves) or thermostat with clock.

Each heating system needs regular maintenance. The costs relating to direct use of the boiler such as cleaning a boiler or heater and refilling of the heating system or replacing filters are borne by the tenant.
