Glass damage is legally the responsibility of the tenant, the landlord will require you to restore the glass to its original condition. Also any damage to paintwork should be restored in good condition. We recommend you to include glass damage in your contents insurance.
When glass damage is caused by a storm, please contact your landlord. In consultation will be agreed if an emergency provision should be applied and how should be dealt with the insurance company.
If you have storm damage other than glass damage an emergency provision will be applied by the landlord. In all other cases the judgement of the insurance company has to be awaited.
